Located in North Central Illinois, TriRivers Health Partners (Rockford, IL) is a joint venture Healthcare Information Technology Organization that is jointly sponsored by SwedishAmerican Health System in Rockford, IL and FHN (formerly “Freeport Health Network”) in Freeport, IL. This innovative venture allows the two organizations to share infrastructure and staffing for Help Desk/Desktop Support, Technical Services, Operations Support, Data Management functions, and to evaluate and develop significant technologies including a regional fiber optic network.

Comprising a total I.S. staff of approximately 60 employees TriRivers supports the existing MEDITECH Magic applications and is currently in process to convert to Client-Server. TriRivers employs a unique Office of the CIO organizational structure which includes a high level Systems Engineering team of eleven staff, three Data Management Analysts that support knowledge based Data Repository extracts from each of TriRivers major CORE applications which include MEDITECH and the EpicCare Practice EMR provide program development of knowledge based applications including an automated balanced scorecard application, a variety of self-developed SQL and Web based “niche applications”, a complete BizTalk interface environment supporting well over 100 MEDITECH and other system interfaces, and a variety of unique solution components to support the two parent organizations.
